hey guys! i was originally going to make a post of my thoughts on notes of a crocodile halfway through but i was behind so i think i’m going to save my thoughts for a bigger post once i finish the book, since it’s already pretty close to the end of the month. hopefully in the future i can keep myself on track better, and make a post midway through reading. for now, though, i wanted to share a poll of book club picks for november!
these are all books i think will be good for the late autumn atmosphere, books i’ve been wanting to read for a while, and alsoooo books that lean on the shorter side because i’m realizing school has me pretty busy this semester. they are as follows: madonna in a fur coat by sabahattin ali, my death by lisa tuttle, the blind owl by sadegh hedayat, and sexing the cherry by jeanette winterson! vote below :)
i’m working on finishing notes of a crocodile and organizing my thoughts which i’ll post when i’m done, hopefully around the end of the month or the beginning of november. see you then!
i read madonna in a fur coat this summer and really liked but kind of struggled with the depiction of femininity which very male gazey 🙂↔️ also i’m 100% convinced that the female protagonist of that book is actually a lesbian like she literally keeps saying that the only reason why she doesn’t get with women is that it isn’t “aesthetically pleasing” and she is an artist 😀😀 anyway i own both sexing the cherry and my death and would love to participate this time 💃🏻💃🏻
